Diclosal plus is a topical analgesic cream indicated for: Local Symptomatic relief of pain and inflammation in trauma of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints due to sprains, strains and bruises and localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism. Treatment of osteoarthritis of superficial joints.

The Diethylamonium Salt Diclofenac is used topically as a cream containing the equivalent of 1% of Diclofenac Sodium for the local symptomatic relief of pain and inflammation. It is applied to the affected site 3 to 4 times daily. Treatment should be reviewed after 14 days or after 28 days if used for osteoarthritis. Linolenic acid, present in the Linseed oil gives an emollient effect.
Menthol, when applied to skin, dilates the vessel causing sensation of coldness followed by an analgesic effect. Menthol is used in rheumatic pains.
Methyl Salicylate is readily absorbed through the skin and used for relief of pain in lumbago, sciatica and rheumatic conditions.

Gently rub a small quantity of the cream on the intact skin, or around the painful/swolen area, till the gel disappears. Apply three to four times daily or as directed by a physician.

Diclosal plus cream is contraindicated in:-
– Known hypersensitivity to Diclofenac, Aspirin or other NSAIDs.
– History of Asthma, Urticaia or other Allergic-type reactions after Aspirins or other NSAIDs.
– Use during the peri-operative period in the setting of coronary artery by pass graft surgery.

Avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. Do not apply to open skin wounds infected lesions or exfolliative dermatitis, Aspirin triad syndrome, active Glulceration of bleeding. Avoid prolonged treatment. Wash hands after application.

Application site reactions, skin irritation or related cutaneous reactions. Contact dermatitis, rash, dry skin or exfoliation.

Store in a cool and dry place below 30 C. Protect from light. Keep all medicines away from reach of children.
